In Matthew 4:19, Jesus invites His first disciples by saying, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” This verse captures a discipleship philosophy that reflects the core of Jesus’ ministry and at SSMC. We are aiming to make disciples of Jesus that are FIT.

To follow Jesus entails being in a personal, vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus and one another.
MPACT
A disciple of Jesus should impact community by being engaged in Jesus’ Mission. We learn to be fishers of men and to teach others to do the same. This is the strategy of Jesus.
RANSFORMED
“I will make you” denotes the dynamic process of ‘being transformed into His likeness with ever increasing glory’.
