This annual practice reinforces our belief that the church is not confined to a physical building in one locality and time but is really the living body of Christ comprising His followers living out their faith in their community and society daily.
It is also a good opportunity for us to invite our friends and family members (which we occasionally refer to as our "oikoses") to experience the Christian body life in a more cozy and less structured environment.
Feel free to join in any of these venues most convenient or comfortable to you. As a courtesy, you may wish to give the host a call in advance so that they can anticipate your presence and this also help them prepare sufficient food for lunch.
We welcome you to join us in a unique Sunday Celebration Service on 25 August, where we don't "go to church".
At least once a year, the English-speaking congregation of SSMC endeavor to meet - literally as Home Churches on a Sunday, in scores of different homes away from our main sanctuary building in KSKA.
This year, we will meet in 24 homes and alternate venues in a more close-knitted Sunday celebration experience.
