SSMC 50th Anniversary MISSON PARTNERS

Malaysian CARE is a non-profit Christian NGO established in Malaysia in 1979, committed to serving the poor and needy irrespective of religion and ethnicity. We focus on empowering communities, aim for long-term sustainable development and see ourselves as partners to the local church and the people we are serving.

We are an indigenous charity organisation registered in Malaysia with tax-exempt status.

Vision: To be the visible expression of the wholistic mission of Christ to the poor and needy

Mission: To display Christ’s love, compassion and justice, and proclaim the Kingdom of God through the whole gospel, to the whole person in the whole nation.

We facilitate integrated services and advocate with:

  1. The Rural & Urban Poor

  2. People with Special Needs

  3. Those affected by Crime, Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS

Malaysian CARE has offices in Kuala Lumpur where we work with communities in the Klang Valley, and regional offices in northern and Borneo region —in Kampar with the Orang Asli in Perak and Pahang, in Kota Kinabalu with the indigenous poor in the city and in rural Kudat and Pitas, and in Miri with the indigenous poor in the city and in rural Baram and Belaga.

We also have demonstration centres such as Ladang CARE, the Toy Library & Parents Resource Centre, Bumblebee mobile resource centre, halfway homes (Rumah Kepercayaan for female, Rumah Petros for males) and Pusat Sumber Komuniti CARE as places to demonstrate and train partners and beneficiary communities.

Our prayer need:

Pray for God’s provision in the area of finances, project partners, volunteers and collaborators that will enable us to continue to serve the poor & needy.
